MAY
Teesside funnyman Patrick Monahan
compares life as an Irish/Iranian teenager
in ‘90s Cool Britannia to today’s Teen
Brexit Britain. Rewind Selector ‘90s is about
identity, fitting in and enjoying the decade.
“Drink and drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” was the
trademark saying of the 1990’s but for the
tee-total and drug-free Monahan it was
“Cake and tea and R ‘n’ B”! He still went to
all-night raves with his friends but instead of
party drugs he used fun-size Milky Ways and
Mars bars to keep his energy levels up so he
could dance all night!
Where: Billingham Forum Theatre
When: April 21, 7.30pm
Price: £13 (concessions £11)

SARAH MILLICAN: CONTROL
ENTHUSIAST
She smashed box office records last time
around – so strap yourselves in for a brand-
new show, and a hugely welcome return to
Middlesbrough Town Hall for three nights
with Sarah Millican. She is not a control freak,
she’s a control enthusiast. She even controls
her own insults, see? Do you arrange the night
out? Are you in charge of the passports on
holiday? Then so are you! Funny, frank and
unapologetically filthy.
Where: Middlesbrough Town Hall
When: Wednesday-Friday, June 13-15, 8pm-
11pm
Price: Tickets £27.50 plus booking fee. Age 16+
