A sporty all-rounder will be star
of the show when JCT600 hold a
preview event for the new Cayenne
at Porsche Centre Teesside.
P
orsche lovers and luxury car
enthusiasts from across the
region are expected to attend the
invitation-only event at Preston
Farm in Stockton that will officially unveil
the third generation Cayenne.
With enhanced performance and
comfort, the Cayenne is the epitome of
the SUV, offering a significantly increased
performance range.
The completely redeveloped Cayenne is
even closer to its roots as a Porsche sports
car than its predecessor, boasting intelligent
lightweight construction, powerful drives,
exceptional driving dynamics and smart
driver assistance systems.
All of this is combined with outstanding
handling on any terrain, improved comfort
and greater suitability for everyday use.
The concept has already proved a
bestseller: since its market launch in 2002,
Porsche has delivered over 770,000 Cayenne
units.
The starting line-up is comprised of three
models.
With its 404 kW (550 hp) bi-turbo eight-
cylinder engine and the dr iving dynamics of
a sports car, the Cayenne Turbo is heading
up the new generation. The car accelerates
from zero to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds, and
can achieve a top speed of 286km/h. The
Cayenne S and Cayenne aren’t far behind in
terms of power and acceleration.
Marketed as “the cockpit of the future”, the
Direct Touch Control and the new 12.3-inch
touch display of the Porsche Communication
Management (PCM) system act as the
driver’s interface to all vehicle functions.
The Cayenne’s extensive range of new
features and services include Amazon Music,
the smart home app Nest and Radio Plus,
which offers a combination of conventional
reception and online streaming.
Other features include online navigation
including real-time traffic information,
an LTE telephone module with integrated
SIM card, mobile phone preparation with
Bluetooth interface, intelligent online voice
control, a Wifi hotspot, four USB ports and
Apple CarPlay.
Ross Jameson, head of business at JCT600
Porsche Teesside, said: “The Cayenne has
been hugely popular and we’ve been taking
orders for the third generation since we
opened as a pop-up showroom back in
February 2017.
“Customers have been ordering the car
without even seeing it but this is the first
opportunity to see it in the flesh, so there’s
naturally a buzz about our preview event.”
First customer deliveries of the Cayenne will be in April. For an invitation to the preview event
on Friday March 16, contact Ross Jameson on [email protected].
