Join Hardwick Hall for their annual post-
Christmas party. Andrew Browning’s show

THE MAGIC OF VIENNA
Following the success of their concert
in 2017, Adam Summerhayes and His
Orchestra are back with another fabulous
concert for the New Year. Infectious waltzes
and popular classics come together with one
of the country’s most extraordinary violinists
and his wonderful orchestra to create The
Magic of Vienna. Introduced in Adam’s
unique style and with flashes of humour –
and the odd surprise or two – this is sure to
prove another unforgettable evening. Enjoy
some of the most enduringly popular waltzes
such as The Blue Danube, Tchaikovsky’s
Waltz of the Flowers, and gems by Franz
Lehár and the legendary Viennese violinist
Fritz Kreisler.

APRIL
AN EVENING WITH BRIAN BLESSED
Larger than life actor, writer and presenter
Brian Blessed is a giant of stage and screen,
an avid explorer and climber. An Evening
with Brian Blessed will combine anecdotes
from his illustrious acting career with tales
of his adventuring. The show will see the
OBE-honoured actor recounting stories from
his numerous film and TV appearances from
Flash Gordon to Black Adder and I Claudius
to Z Cars. And he will also be talking about
his three attempts to climb Everest without
oxygen; his expedition to the jungles of
Venezuela, his trek to the North Pole and
his 800 hours of space training in Russia.

those of a nervous disposition!

THE EXTRAORDINARY
GERTRUDE BELL
This exhibition tells the story of adventure,
discovery and political intrigue around the
North East-born explorer Gertrude Bell,
who spent much of her young life in Redcar.
Bell was an archaeologist, diplomat, linguist,
writer and mountaineer who was a key figure
in the discussions that led to the creation
of Iraq following the defeat of the Ottoman
Empire. Free Gertrude Bell exhibition tours
available on request, with prior notice.
