Bonjour, Bistrot Pierre!
B
istrot Pierre has brought a touch
of Gallic flair to Middlesbrough’s
bustling food quarter.
The new continental-style eaterie has
officially opened its 21st UK operation in
Middlesbrough, offering great value French
food in a relaxed setting, and is the latest in a
string of high-profile new arrivals giving the
town centre a new lease of life.
Bistrot Pierre opted for Middlesbrough
for its next destination – ahead of Newcastle,
Sunderland and Leeds – after previously
opening outlets in Bath, Birmingham,
Cardiff, Harrogate, Leicester, Nottingham,
Plymouth, Sheffield and Torquay among
others.
It has a capacity for 200 diners to enjoy
authentic food in a traditional French bistrot
setting.
“Albert Road is a great location – and
the outdoor seating is also a fantastic
opportunity for al fresco dining,” said Rob
Beacham, co-owner of Bistrot Pierre – a
restaurant group he formed more than
20 years ago with school friend John
Whitehead.
“We’re excited to be a part of
Middlesbrough’s evolving landscape and
supporting its regeneration – it’s a fantastic
town, full of character so we’re looking
forward to becoming part of its future.
“With food and drink becoming an
increasingly important sector for the town,
we’re delighted to be supporting the thriving
industry here and look forward to welcoming
new and returning diners.
“Our a la carte menu is updated seasonally,
maintaining a fresh, classic French bistrot
cooking theme and feel to all of our dishes
– the boeuf bourguignon maison is a
particularly popular option, with steak-frites
and our traditional crème brûlée also proving
to be best sellers.”
The popular lunchtime prix-fixe menu
will be available seven days a week, offering
customers one, two or three courses for £9.95,
£11.95 or £13.95 – aiming to offer something
for everyone.
