A place to
t the head of the kitchen at
Houndgate Townhouse is 28-year-
old Linda Raine, who has developed
and learned her trade at a nearby five-star
hotel. Linda joined the Houndgate team
along with Daryl Wheelhouse nearly two
years ago and has created an exciting new
Summer menu for diners to enjoy, offering
breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and
dinner.
During the day, there are lighter options,
from sandwiches to salads, risotto to
home-made quiche, steak to fish - with the
popular choice for the Summer being a
Feta Cheese with Fig and Avocado dressed
with Pomegranate, with specials changing
daily, giving each chef chance to shine their
individual dishes.
Whilst the evening diners on Fridays and
Saturdays can choose from seven starters,
including Beetroot, Goat’s Cheese, Garlic and
Herb Terrine, seven main dishes, including
the 8oz Fillet Steak, Sticky Pork Belly and
Cod Loin with King Prawns and seven
desserts including tiramisu, lemon posset
and double dip strawberries.
Linda says: “After carefully listening to our
customers, we have made small changes to
the menu throughout the seasons to ensure
we meet those demands, while also offering
good quality British food with variety for
people to enjoy.”
