housands of visitors flocked to
Rockliffe Hall to celebrate its
second annual Festival of Food, a
week-long artisan gastro delight.
As well as plenty of stalls, there were
hot food stations, a teepee with live
music and bar, chef demonstrations in
the Looking Glass House and gin, wine
and beer schools.
There were special dining events
hosted by guest chefs Terry Leybourne,
Frances Atkins, Ellie Richmond, Josh
Overington, Franck Pontais, Briony
Williams and Alex Nietosvuori.
The festival concluded with a black tie
gala dinner where Rockliffe Hall’s three
executive chefs cooked a course each.
Raffles, a silent auction and other ad-
hoc donations raised £3,774 for Action
Against Hunger, Hospitality Action and
the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
