rom accountancy to sales and
marketing training, a whole range
of in-demand skills are being
nurtured for ambitious companies at
Middlesbrough College.
A quick chat with one of the college’s
dedicated business advisors will tell you how
tailored training is already paying dividends
for growing businesses.
The college knows there is no one-sizefits-all solution when it comes to training,
and that’s why Middlesbrough College
programmes can be tailored to achieve
specific goals.
For businesses the college team know
those goals are improved profits, increased
productivity, and energised, motivated staff.
It’s why Middlesbrough College is focused
on delivering effective, action-packed
programmes that are shaped by employers
themselves.

workforces learn key business growth tactics

accountancy, leadership and management, to
business admin and even first aid, as well as
teaching assistants’ training.
“Our success rates are something to be
proud of too. Almost everyone who attends
our courses passes with percentages in the
90s – that’s well above the national average.”
The approach is paying off as earlier this
year the college became Medium Provider of
the Year – as awarded by the Association of
Accounting Technicians.
Success rates in accountancy qualifications
are near 100% and over the past few years
the college has grown the number of
accounting apprentices it trains in levels one
to four.
Paul added: “Accountancy is a profession
in demand, and Middlesbrough College helps
people from all backgrounds – including
school leavers or career-swappers – to
achieve the skills and qualifications that
industry needs.
“We know the industry, and we know
the specific skills and co
