TTE supporting Teesside industry’ s workforce investment

TTE, the Middlesbrough-based technical training specialist, is helping industry develop the area’ s next generation of skilled workers by securing additional companies as sponsors for its apprenticeship programmes.

Joining the training provider’ s large cohort of employers from the energy, manufacturing, food, chemical and process sectors are a number of new companies investing in apprenticeships.
Among them are the newly-formed British Steel, Premier Food Solutions, Country Style Foods and LJJ Contractors, which will be sponsoring TTE apprentices for the first time this year.
Through its Engineering and Process Study Programmes, which are delivered at its industry-standard training centre and its employer-sponsored apprenticeships, TTE arms young people with technical skills, competencies and safety practices relevant to current practices across industry sectors.
After two years training at TTE, employeesponsored apprentices spend a further two years as members of their sponsors’ workforce gaining invaluable‘ on the job’ experience.
Managing director Steve Grant said:“ Teesside has a wealth of talented and driven young people who are keen to enter industry.
“ TTE is ideally-placed to help employers benefit from the enthusiasm of these young people and we’ d encourage employers yet to invest in apprentices to speak to our team about how we can introduce apprentices into their business.”
