A GRADE 1
LOCATION
It is renowned locally for
its combination of history,
elegance and food. But
there’s even more to Acklam
Hall than meets the eye
I
t’s hard to argue with Michael Jones when
he insists that Acklam Hall offers “the most
prestigious business address on Teesside”.
There is certainly an air of exclusivity about
Middlesbrough’s only Grade I Listed building
that o ther business premises could not hope
to match.
From its sweeping drive to its stunning
period architecture and modern interior office
space, everything about Acklam Hall oozes
class and quality.
“There’s nothing like this in the area,” says
managing director Michael, as he sits in the
17th Century hall’s impressive conference
room. “It has got to be the best address for
any Teesside business.”
While Acklam Hall’s history and elegance
have already won numerous headlines, its
equally impressive Bvsiness Rooms have
until now gone under the radar.
With a name that gives a classical Latin
nod to the Hall’s heritage and the days
before the letter u was part of the English
alphabet, the Bvsiness Rooms feature a
range of serviced office accommodation and
conference facilities.
Accommodating numbers from 2-120,
the venue’s meeting rooms are available
for use by both resident and non-resident
companies.
A combination of the Hall’s flexible
workspace, bespoke facilities and personal,
welcoming ambience has already attracted
a wide range of local businesses to take up
residence within walls that for two centuries
were home to the Hustler family.
The Hall is already home to a diverse
range of businesses including nursery group
Montessori People, Roseberry Photography,
renewable energy specialists 3AD3 and nail
technicians Illustrated Beauty.
The Hall’s impeccable location, far
from the madding crowd but within only
a few minutes’ drive of the A19 and
Middlesbrough town centre, is another key
asset.
Increasing numbers of businesses are
also attracted to the Hall’s ‘Virtual Offices’,
providing companies with a prestigious
business address and telephone answering
service without the associated costs of a
physical office. Calls are answered in their
company name and mail forwarded to them.
It’s an intriguing option that has already
enticed a number of one-man bands and
those who don’t want to publicise their home
as their marketing address to take up a virtual
office from as little as £50 per month.
But to truly enjoy all that Acklam Hall has to
offer, you really need to physically be there,
as Michael explains.
“It’s an inspiring place to work and can’t
fail to impress clients and visitors,” he
says. “And, despite being one of the oldest
buildings on Teesside, we offer super-modern
business facilities including super-fast
broadband speeds.
“We have state-of the art facilities sitting
within a 330-year-old building.
“On top of all that, our unique location
means you’ll never get stuck in traffic, there’s
ample free parking and, with our restaurant
downstairs, you’ll never go hungry either. It
really is an environment like nowhere else.”
