Finance firm is quick to
buy Churchill House
Churchill House – sold to Quickly Finance.
A
well-known Stockton office block
previously used by Churchill
Insurance has been snapped up by a
local finance firm.
Quickly Finance, which manages claims
for mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance
(PPI) and Packaged Bank Accounts (PBA),
is relocating staff from its operations at
Christine House on Teesdale Business Park
and from Billingham into Churchill House.
Previously housing the contact centre
for Churchill Insurance, Churchill House
is a 33,000 sq ft, self-contained, high
specification, four-storey office block,
with 184 on-site car parking spaces, in a
prominent location at Teesdale, overlooking
the central basin.
Acting on behalf of
the Official Receiver,
Middlesbrough-based Dodds
Brown completed the sale to
Quickly Finance.
Dodds Brown senior partner
Stephen Brown said: “With
its location on the stunning
River Tees waterfront site,
easy access via the A66 and A19, generous
car parking and its on-site facilities, it’s
no surprise that Quickly Finance saw the
opportunity to consolidate its operations at
Teesdale Business Park.
“The disposal of Churchill House further
reduces the availability of high quality
accommodation at Teesdale Business Park,
particularly of freehold buildings, but there
are still opportunities for organisations to rent
and purchase space there.”
From its offices in Middlesbrough, Dodds
Brown is the largest independent commercial
property surveying practice headquartered on
Teesside and has been trading for more than
125 years.
SOLAR PANELS WILL
SAVE £30K A YEAR
Precision plastic injection moulding firm Icon
Plastics has extended its commitment to the
environment with the installation of 500 solar
photovoltaic panels.
The company, based at Durham Lane
Industrial Estate, Eaglescliffe, has halved
the amount of waste going to landfill in
the last 12 months and has now invested
£120,000 in new panels, which will enable
the company to generate its own electricity
during the week and benefit from the Feed
in Tariff at weekends, when the factory is not
operational.
The panels are also expected to cut annual
running costs by about £30,000.

about cultural differences.

and break down barriers for those from black and
minority ethnic backgrounds after she herself
experienced cultural barriers to employment on
her return from Nigeria.
