Local property experts treat clients
to private wine tasting event
S
anderson Weatherall, a firm of
chartered surveyors and property
consultants based in Stockton-on-
Tees, recently held a private wine-tasting
event at Chadwicks Inn, Maltby.
Around 30 of Sanderson Weatherall’s
valued contacts attended the event,
including representatives from

Archers Law, Stockton Council, Hartlepool
Council, Anderson Barrowcliff, Waltons Clark
Whitehill, FRP Advisory and Tees Business.
David Fairley, a partner at Sanderson
Weatherall’s Teesside office, said: “We
remain incredibly active in the local market
and while there’s no hard sell on our part,
it’s great to get the opportunity to share
an evening of great food and wine with
a number of key clients that continue to
support us.
“When we first hosted the event in 2017
we really wanted to create something that
we could make our own and along with the
team at Chadwicks, we think we’ve now
got an event that people look forward to,
year on year!
“We hope that guests can feel relaxed,
enjoying the incredible wine and food in
an informal setting that allows everyone to
build long-lasting relationships with fellow
North-East contacts.
“We’ve now sampled Italian, Spanish and
South American wines over the past three
years and are already starting to think about
next year’s line-up.”
Chadwicks Inn is situated in Maltby, a
quiet village on the edge of the North York
Moors, and has featured in the Michelin
Guide from 2012 to 2017, two AA Rosettes
since 2010.
Matthew Clarke, also a partner with
Sanderson Weatherall, said: “The event
once again proved a resounding success,
highlighting the strong relationships we
have with our clients and professional
business contacts in the Teesside region.
We’ve received great feedback.”
Ian Kirk, corporate manager at
Handelsbanken in Stockton, said: “I just
wanted to thank you and the others at
Sanderson Weatherall for another fantastic
evening this year at Chadwicks.
“It really has become known as a
highlight event of the year, with interesting
and engaging guests in attendance and
warm and generous hosting.”
Nicola Neilson, partner and head of
agricultural property at Jacksons Law,
said: “Thank you to all of the Sanderson
Weatherall team for the very kind invitation.
I had a lovely evening.
“It is different from any other events I
have been to and you brought together a
great group of people.
“The food was excellent and it was
good to try new wines (when isn’t it?). The
goodie bag was a lovely surprise, and I can
continue to enjoy the event this evening!
