Professor Jane
Turner and Catherine
Devereux were the
highlights of the
second annual Tees
Businesswomen
Awards, attended by
more than 440 people.
It was a night of 10
category winners –
with Sharon Lane’s
mum and fellow
Tees Components
director Jean Wood receiving the
Businesswoman of the Year gong
on her behalf – while Jane, pro vice
chancellor at Teesside University,
received the Outstanding Contribution
Award in a surprise presentation.
Held in Wynyard Hall’s Grand
Marquee – specially lit and decorated
for the celebration – the Tees
Businesswomen Awards were
organised by Tees Business publishers
Resolution Media & Publishing, in
association with headline sponsors
Northern Skills Group.
Tees Business would like to thank a
number of people for helping to make
the event such a huge success:
> Julie Burniston – our new events
manager, who did a first class job.
> Sarah Carlton from KINSHIP – our
super talented graphic designer,
who helped with so many different
elements of our marketing.
> Michael McGeary – one our trusted
freelance journalists did a fantastic
job helping us put together the
programme on the night, as well as
interviewing winners for this special
supplement.
> Local photographers Chris Booth and
Tom Banks, who brilliantly captured
the evening in pictures – many of
which you can see in this supplement.
> Katie Land, senior events co-
ordinator at Wynyard Hall –
understanding and patient every step
of the way!
> Storm AV – who provided our
