Lindsey Roberts, Visualsoft Teesside-based e-commerce agency Visualsoft has appointed Lindsey Roberts as digital operations manager. The newly created role is set to strengthen the agency’s digital department ahead of an exciting period of growth. Lindsey previously spent three years developing and shaping the email marketing team at Visualsoft. She will work closely with head of digital Gavin Lowther to identify and implement processes to improve the department’s efficiencies and performance. Erika Marshall, Education Training Collective Erika Marshall has joined the newly formed Education Training Collective’s management team as the group’s director of marketing. Erika spent 15 years honing her skills in the dynamic world of manufacturing, engineering and construction marketing with car manufacturer Nifco. She has joined Etc. – which incorporates Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth part of the Talent84 family Form College, NETA Training, The Skills Academy and the Tees Valley Logistics Academy – as the group undergoes a brand transformation, adopting a new shared corporate identity. Caitlin Towers and Callum Dougherty, ENGIE Two Hartlepool College students who got a taste for ENGIE on work experience have both now been taken on by the leading energy and regeneration specialist. Caitlin Towers and Callum Dougherty both experienced working on site during a placement at the Parkfields housing development in Stockton – which ENGIE is building on behalf of Thirteen Housing Group – during their studies at Hartlepool College. Just months after impressing the team with their enthusiasm and work ethic, Caitlin and Callum landed full-time roles as trainee design co-ordinators in ENGIE’s technical team. Angela Lowe, Rockliffe Hall Rockliffe Hall has recruited a new corporate sales and events executive to focus on further enhancing relationships with local companies and securing new business. Angela Lowe, from Newton Aycliffe, joins the five red star resort’s sales and marketing team with almost 30 years of hospitality industry and sales experience. Her key roles at the hotel, golf and spa resort in Hurworth, near Darlington, will be to develop links with businesses and secure revenue through conferences, events, corporate accommodation and golf days. Angela spent 11 years at Headlam Hall working in roles including spa manager and operations manager and was previously operations manager at Houndgate Townhouse in Darlington. Suzanne Withrington, Institute of Directors The Institute of Directors (IoD) has appointed two university lecturers as vice- chairs of its new North-East branches. Suzanne Withrington, principal lecturer for enterprise and business engagement at Teesside University Business School, has been appointed vice-chair of the IoD’s North-East (South) branch. She will work alongside recently appointed chair Karl Pemberton of Thornaby-based Active Chartered Financial Planners. Natalia Blagburn, senior lecturer at Northumbria University’s Newcastle Business School, joins the IoD North-East (North) branch, where she will work closely with award-winning entrepreneur Ammar Mirza CBE, who was appointed branch chair earlier this year.
