Neil Marsden, Pickerings Lifts Tees firm Pickerings Lifts has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Neil Marsden as service sales and marketing director. Marsden will be responsible for the Stockton firm’s sales and marketing teams based across the country, growing opportunities and securing service contracts within the lift, escalator, loading systems and mobility business streams, as well as increasing brand awareness. Pickerings Lifts was founded in 1854 and has had an unbroken history of independent British ownership since then. The wealth of knowledge the company has gained from over 160 years’ experience has made it one of the UK’s largest independent lift service providers. Liz Rothery, Baldwins Group Accountancy and business advisory firm Baldwins, a CogitalGroup company, has strengthened its team with the appointment of an associate tax director. Liz Rothery, who is a specialist in inheritance tax and trust planning, will work alongside the senior team in the firm’s Seaton Burn office to develop Baldwins’ offering. With 14 years of experience in private client tax planning, Liz has expertise in dealing with high net worth individuals and the local market. Having worked in one of the big four accountancy firms for over 10 years, Liz (pictured, left, with regional managing partner Dawn Walton) has a wealth of knowledge, which she is looking forward to utilising to help the small to medium sized businesses Baldwins works with. Dr Huw Williams, Yarm School Yarm School has appointed Dr Huw Williams as its new headmaster. Dr Williams is joining the school from his post as second master at Tonbridge School and is eager to take up the headmaster’s baton to define the next chapter of the school’s history. Dr Williams’ teaching career began at Westminster School in London where he taught Biology, becoming an assistant housemaster and then the housemaster of a day and boarding house. Following this, he was appointed at Tonbridge School. Becoming just the third headmaster since the founding of the school in 1978, Dr Rachel Dalby, Kane Elgey and Grace Gibbon, Mobile Mini A leading hirer of secure storage and portable site accommodation is developing its marketing team to help cement its strong reputation. Kevin Fletcher and John Baker, HR Alchemy A fast-growing, Middlesbrough-based human resources specialist is building on recent success by expanding its team. HR Alchemy has appointed two non- executive directors and welcomed a new HR graduate after a year of continued growth that has seen the company increase year-on-year turnover by 30%. The first of the new board members is Kevin Fletcher, a respected former employment tribunal judge and senior partner of Stockton-based Jacksons Law Firm. Kevin also operates as consultant solicitor at PG Legal and is a non-executive director at Elring Klinger. Joining Kevin is John Baker, who brings with him decades of HR and business expertise, having worked as a communications and HR director within the steel industry. First Choice Labels Teesside-based label manufacturing company First Choice Labels has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new marketing manager, Emily Davies. With a degree in Psychology and a passion for marketing, her role will be leading the marketing department, working in tandem with the sales team to increase both online and offline presence and establish further connections within the industry.
