Anne Cooling and David
Smith, of Teesside Hospice,
are on a mission to develop
long-term partnerships with
local businesses.
T
eesside Hospice is calling on local
companies to support them as
corporate partners “to protect the
long-term security” of the Middlesbrough-
based hospice.
Having appointed Anne Cooling as head
of corporate development, the hospice is on
a mission to develop long-term, engaging
and effective corporate partnerships with
companies across the Tees Valley and
beyond.
Chief executive David Smith said: “The
need for fundraising is ever greater, ever
more urgent. For some charities, it will be
impossible to meet the growing need to
fund their work without the support of the
community.
“Now more than ever, Teesside Hospice
is seeking backing from the corporate
sector and the business community.”
Anne, who has many years’ experience
of corporate partnerships, is looking to help
secure the long-term financial security of
local patients and their families.
“We have an opportunity here to make a
real difference to the Teesside community
by encouraging companies to consider
how a charity partnership can benefit their
company and employees,” said Anne.
“Teesside Hospice is engaging with
business leaders and decision-makers
throughout the Tees Valley to raise
awareness within the corporate sector.
The aspiration is to ensure the long-term
security of the hospice and ultimately to
protect the end-of-life care provision for the
local community.”
Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen and
NEECC chief executive James Ramsbotham
have both offered their support to help
Teesside Hospice create partnerships with
the business sector, while Crathorne Hall
and Rockliffe Hall are fully sponsoring lunch
receptions that local business leaders will
be invited to attend.
Teesside Hospice provides 24-hour end-
of-life care 365 days a year to more than
3,000 patients.
