Picture by Martin Walker Matthew Telling is back with a recruitment agency which thrives on connecting people A yearning to return to Middlesbrough and be part of its continued regeneration has brought a popular Welshman back to one of the town’s leading recruitment firms. Matthew Telling has returned to Solutions Recruitment Group as operations manager to lead the company’s ongoing development and expansion in Teesside and beyond, having spent 15 months away from the business. He said: “I played a major role in getting Solutions Recruitment’s new Teesside division off the ground five years ago and am proud of what we achieved. “We grew a strong client base and a thriving team and I left it in healthy shape, but the time was right for me to go and try something different elsewhere. I needed a fresh challenge at the time, and I’m better for that experience. “Then quite recently the directors at Solutions got back in touch with me, explained that they had redefined strategies, and asked if I’d be interested in coming back to continue the development of the Teesside division and wider operations. “I feel that I have plenty of unfinished business here at Solutions, and I’m excited for what the future holds. “The team here in Middlesbrough is exceptionally talented, full of personality and driven by providing our customers with an outstanding service, and this was a big draw in me returning. “This allows me to support the growth here, particularly in permanent recruitment, while also working with my colleagues in Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear and the Midlands. “There is so much positivity in the Tees Valley, and it’s such a vibrant region in which to live and work. I believe that we at Solutions are very well positioned to add real value to businesses of all sizes and stages of development. “Our cumulative experience enables us to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner, ensuring an exceptional level of customer satisfaction.” Telling’s return coincides with Solutions’ fifth anniversary celebrations on Teesside, and he says it’s an exciting time to come. “We’ve continued to invest in technology and in hiring very high calibre people to keep us at the forefront of the recruitment industry,” he said. “It’s an invigorating time to be back in Middlesbrough with developments such as TeesAMP and Centre Square taking shape, and with the SSI site and Boho area regeneration projects on the horizon, so I’m genuinely thrilled to be back. “We’re concentrating on what we do By Colin Young best, where our real strengths lie. We’re focusing on several key pillars, which are engineering/technical, finance/financial services and commercial, which includes sales and marketing. Some of the region’s leading businesses are highly valued customers. “I’m privileged to be leading an excellent group of people who have incredible ability and a great set of skills. “They are experts in their markets, who aren’t there to work with businesses for a quick fix but to build long-term relationships based on trust. They are true consultants, who offer real insight and advice to customers, together with an exceptional recruitment service.” Solutions Recruitment also operates from offices in Newcastle, Wakefield and Birmingham, providing permanent and temporary services. Director Andrew Mears added: “We are delighted to have Matt back with us. He brings a wealth of expertise and will play a key role in reinforcing our position in the Tees Valley, as well as driving some of our strategic priorities in the wider North East, as well as Yorkshire and the Midlands.” For more information about Solutions Recruitment Teesside, or to speak to the team about your recruitment needs, please visit solrecruit.co.uk or call 01642 772 161.
