The five-star resort in Hurworth, near Darlington, was inundated with applications for the marketing, IT and beauty therapist apprenticeships. Stephen Flintoft, 20, from Darlington, has joined Rockliffe Hall as digital marketing and social media apprentice. He went to St Aidan’s Church of England Academy and then studied Fine Art and Software Development at Darlington College. Grace Nash, 17, from Richmond, has joined the spa team as a beauty therapy apprentice. She attended St Francis Xavier School, Richmond, and then Darlington College to study Beauty Therapy and is currently working towards her Level 3. Andrew Jennison, 19, from Bishop Auckland, is the resort’s IT apprentice. He studied IT and Photography A Levels at King James Academy. New apprentices, Cleveland Bridge Cleveland Bridge UK has continued its commitment to developing its future workforce with the recruitment of its latest cohort of apprentices. A group of nine young people have joined the company, working towards NVQ Level 3 and 4 qualifications in a range of business and industry disciplines alongside gaining workplace experience, which will be invaluable for their future careers with the Darlington-based company. Thomas Harvey, 17, and Daniel Wearmouth, 18, from Hartlepool, have joined The Expanded Metal Company as apprentice machine setters. Ben Job, 21, from Newcastle, has also joined the company in the position of apprentice tool setter. They will support in the manufacture of metal mesh products. Both Daniel and Thomas attend East Durham College where they are working towards completing an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations before moving onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Ben, who also attends East Durham College, is studying to obtain a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Rachel Atkinson and David Raper, razorblue IT solutions firm razorblue has been expanding its team over the past months, welcoming two key team members. Rachel Atkinson moved into the role of finance director, progressing from the roles of management accountant and then financial controller, to join the company’s other four directors. Previously a management accountant at the Bannatyne Group, Rachel is helping to drive razorblue forward with its growth strategy and has recently played a big part in the acquisition of J-Media IT Managed Services in Manchester. David Raper, razorblue’s operations director, plays a vital role in the day-to-day smooth running of business throughout their five offices. His role encompasses maintaining the quality and information security management system alongside technical recruitment for the expanding team. Alan Ruddick and Jack Pickering, Techquity A Tees-based bespoke web and mobile applications agency has boosted its development team with two new appointments. Digital firm Techquity, which was founded in November 2017, now has a team of 11 delivering projects for a host of national clients, with developers Alan Ruddick and Jack Pickering (pictured with CEO Matt Burton) the latest recruits. And to accommodate its growing team, Techquity has relocated to Commerce House in Middlesbrough. The Grade II listed building is in the heart of the town and boasts luxury office spaces, exceptional facilities and national transport links on its doorstep.
