The six metro mayors in England will receive half of a national pot to locally deliver the schemes. Tees Valley’s allocation is based on an equal division per head of population. Tees Valley Combined Authority says it will work closely with the bus and rail operators to maximise the investment and ensure real change is driven to the transport system. RECRUITERS’ EXPANSION PLANS Stokesley-based multi-sector recruiter MSS People has increased its headcount, opened a new base north of the border and rebranded the business as part of its long term ambitious growth plans. The move will see it place ‘people’ at the centre of all that they do for their clients, candidates and themselves. The rebrand also serves as a strong signal of intent for the Teesside-based business that in 2015 was recognised by The Telegraph as one of the 1,000 Companies To Inspire Britain. TECH SCALE-UP PLAN Fourteen tech companies in the Tees Valley are being helped to scale and grow with the support of a new DigitalCity initiative. DigitalCity Scale is a three-month programme designed specifically for ambitious businesses in the digital and technology sectors who can demonstrate high growth and potential for scaling. The first cohort began their programme at a launch event at Wynyard Hall. VIRTUAL REALITY TOURS A Teesside estate and letting agent is combining the world of property and virtual reality in a bid to transform client experience. M
