A round-up of the latest appointments on the Tees business scene...
Stockton-based Archers Law LLP has
promoted Zoe Tansley and Vicky Browning
to partner status in recognition of their hard
work, commitment and contribution to its
success
The firm already has four women in the
business at partnership level and the new
appointments now take that to six.
Tansley joined the firm in July 2014 as a
family solicitor. She was made an associate
a year later in October 2015 before being
appointed head of the family and matrimonial
unit in 2016 when she assumed management
responsibilities for the team.
Browning, who is responsible for
developing and implementing the firm’s
strategic business plan as practice director,
started her career in a business development
role before being appointed to the firm’s
management board in 2015 in which she
then took a lead role in non-legal aspects of
running the business.
Glen Pearson and Paul Alexander,
ElringKlinger
Tees automotive parts manufacturer
ElringKlinger has made two senior
appointments as it looks to continue its
strong growth.
Redcar-based ElringKlinger, which now
employs more than 300 people after tripling
its workforce over the past eight years,
has welcomed a new head of logistics and
finance controller as it continues its growth
despite the backdrop of Brexit.
Glen Pearson (above left) has been
appointed as head of logistics and is

responsible for the end-to-end supply
chain function within the business, leading
a team of 18 across goods receiving and
warehousing, purchasing, production
planning and shipping/dispatch.
Pearson, 50, from Washington, has over
25 years’ experience in logistics and supply
chain management.
ElringKlinger has also appointed Paul
Alexander (below right) as financial controller
after he originally joined the business last
year as a cost accountant.
Alexander, 30, from Darlington, joined
ElringKlinger following seven years at a
Cramlington-based PVC manufacturer after
completing a Business and IT degree at
Northumbria University.
He is CIMA qualified and is responsible
for managing all financial aspects of the
business, including cash flow management,
forecasting and budgeting.
Naru and Ross Architects – a firm based
near Yarm which is known for its work
with some of the North-East’s most stylish
hotels, restaurants and bars – has appointed
Rebecca Hayman as an interior design
assistant.
Having successfully completed a BA
Honours Degree in Interior Design in 2015
with the University of Teesside, followed
by a period working in industry, Hayman’s
priorities are to support the success of the
company’s commercial projects.
As well as interior consultations, styling
and providing advice on the latest design
trends, the 25-year-old’s responsibilities
include creating moodboards and sourcing
samples to consolidate ideas, sourcing
furniture and cabinetry and researching
interior finishes such as wall coverings,
flooring, lighting, soft furnishings,
sanitaryware and decorative accessories.
Daren Smith, SABIC
SABIC has appointed Daren Smith as acting
site director for Teesside.
Smith has worked on the Wilton
International site in various roles since 2001,
including project management, maintenance
management, director of environment, health
and safety, and for the last three years as
technical director.
Smith takes the reins from site director
John Bruijnooge, who is undertaking a SABIC
secondment for a project in Saudi Arabia
for a period of up to six months, with plans
to return to Teesside when the project has
finished.
SABIC had recently undertaken a major
investment to upgrade its Olefins Cracker to
take US ethane as one its raw materials to
make it one of the most flexible crackers in
Europe.
