8th( 11th-30th) Zoe Lewis CBE DL( Middlesbrough College) A prominent voice in the region’ s education sector, Middlesbrough College Group CEO and principal Zoe is a CBE, a deputy lieutenant for North Yorkshire and a passionate campaigner for young people on Teesside and beyond.
A qualified accountant, she joined the college in April 2005 as vice principal, finance and administration, before becoming principal and chief executive in 2013. Since then, under her leadership, the group has grown to serve more than 12,000 students a year and works closely with employers across the region to develop the skills needed now and in the future.

( Cleveland Cable Company) Alastair is MD and co-founder of Cleveland Cable Company, a Middlesbrough-based business that has grown into one of the UK ' s largest independent suppliers of electrical cables and cable accessories.
Under his leadership, the familyowned business has developed an extensive distribution network, maintained significant stockholding and earned recognition as the world ' s first cable distributor to achieve BASEC Registered Stockist status, reflecting its commitment to quality and compliance. Alisdair Beveridge
( The Build Directory) MD of home improvement service The Build Directory, Alisdair is also a dedicated philanthropist who has transformed lives across the Tees Valley through his support of innovative charitable initiatives, including being a trustee of The Teesside Charity, supporting organisations such as The Teesside Family Foundation and the PFC Trust, and sitting on a board helping those being released from HMP Holme House. He won the Making a Difference category at the 2026 Tees Business Awards.

It’ s deserved recognition for Rob who, with wife Ali, set up BearTech in 2023 to help firms solve complex problems – especially by harnessing the power of AI – and has since seen the business, and its Automate Legal offshoot, go from strength to strength.
