The appointment was formally approved by the Tees Valley mayor and cabinet in June.
Andrew Perriman, Tees Valley Combined Authority An award-winning lawyer has been appointed as Tees Valley Combined Authority’ s new monitoring officer.
The appointment of Andrew Perriman follows a robust and extensive recruitment process involving a range of internal and external partners and represents a key milestone in strengthening TVCA’ s permanent senior leadership team.
The monitoring officer is the organisation’ s most senior legal role and plays a critical statutory role in ensuring that the authority operates lawfully, transparently and to the highest standards of governance and ethical conduct.
This appointment supports delivery of TVCA’ s Organisational Improvement Plan, which includes establishing a stable, long-term senior leadership structure to underpin effective decision-making, accountability and delivery for the residents and businesses of Tees Valley. Andrew is an experienced legal and governance leader, currently working as a monitoring officer within local government.
He brings a strong background in public sector governance, legal services, organisational transformation and democratic accountability.
Before moving into local government, Andrew taught law at university and worked in private practice, giving him a broad perspective across legal education, professional practice and public service. He has led significant improvement and transformation within legal services, supporting more efficient, resilient and high-performing teams.
This work contributed to his team being named In-House Legal Team of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards. Andrew was also joint winner of Legal Professional of the Year by Lawyers in Local Government.
Jonathan Inglesfield, Middlesbrough College Middlesbrough College has appointed experienced further education leader Jonathan Inglesfield as its new assistant principal for construction, engineering and TTE as it continues to strengthen industry links and develop the workforce of the future.
In his new role, Jonathan will lead the continued development of the college’ s TTE construction and engineering provision, support curriculum reform and strengthen links with industry to create even more opportunities for students to progress into employment.
Bringing more than two decades of experience in education and extensive knowledge of the construction sector, Jonathan joins the senior leadership team from Barnsley College, where he served as head of construction.
After training and working as a plasterer, Jonathan began his career in education through part-time teaching and has remained in the sector ever since.
Jonathan said:“ One of my biggest priorities is to build on the incredible industry links and outcomes the college currently boasts, ensuring young people have the skills, behaviours and opportunities needed to succeed in employment.”
Chris Lillie, razorblue Stockton-based razorblue has appointed a new chief operating officer after the retirement of one of the firm’ s original founders.
Chris Lillie has taken up the senior role at the managed IT, cloud, connectivity and security service provider, strengthening the business’ s leadership team as it continues to build momentum and accelerate growth.
His appointment follows the retirement of one of the original founders and outgoing COO, Chris Gill.
Chris Lillie brings more than 20 years of experience across the IT managed services sector, having progressed from frontline engineering and service desk roles through to senior operational leadership.
Before joining razorblue, he held a senior leadership position at CDW, where he gained extensive experience delivering complex managed services for large organisations.
Throughout his career, Chris has focused on building high-performing teams, strengthening service operations and creating consistently positive outcomes for customers
