Every young person deserves to believe that their ambitions are within reach. But for many, that starts with meeting someone who helps them imagine what’ s possible.
That ' s why Power of Women( POW) works with schools and colleges across the Tees Valley to inspire and raise confidence in young people.
By connecting students with professionals from a wide range of industries, POW helps them discover careers they may never have considered and challenge the stereotypes that can limit potential.
“ You don’ t need to have all the answers or an extraordinary job title,” explains POW executive director Sophie McKenna.
“ You simply need to be willing to share your story, be yourself and help young people see new possibilities.
“ They ' re people with real career journeys, honest stories and a willingness to share what they ' ve learned.
“ Whether you ' re an apprentice, engineer, business owner, project manager or finance professional, your experiences could be exactly what a young person needs to hear.”
