Sanderson Weatherall’ s highly anticipated wine-tasting event brought together clients, colleagues and professional partners for an evening of exceptional food, expertly paired wines and lively conversation.
The property consultancy, based at Infinity House on Stockton’ s Surtees Business Park, welcomed 26 guests including solicitors, accountants and advisers from across the region, plus team members from its Teesside and Newcastle offices.
Now a firm fixture on the local business calendar, the annual tasting is hosted by partners David Fairley and Matthew Clarke- and is undoubtedly Sanderson Weatherall’ s most popular event.
“ This year’ s first RSVP arrived in under a minute!” laughed David.
Each year, the evening embraces a different country, and for 2025, the spotlight was on Spain.
Guests were treated to a showcase of wines that celebrated the country’ s rich and diverse winemaking heritage, each thoughtfully paired with a five-course Spanish-inspired menu designed by Chadwicks Inn owners, Lee Tolley and Helen Gill.
The partnership between Sanderson Weatherall and Chadwicks has become something of a tradition and is one that both teams look forward to each year.
“ We were delighted to once again host the annual Sanderson Weatherall wine tasting evening,” says Helen.“ It’ s an event we look forward to and what is now, for us, the kick-start of the festive season.”
True to tradition, the night ended with a raffle. The lucky winner took home a flight of the evening’ s featured wines, while the runner-up selected a bottle of their choice.
In a thoughtful twist, instead of goody bags, Sanderson Weatherall made a donation to the True Colours Theatre Foundation, a charity close to one of the firm’ s equity partners, marking the beginning of a year of support for the organisation.
From the first pour to the final toast, the event showcased Sanderson Weatherall’ s commitment to its clients, colleagues and community.
With outstanding food, exceptional wines and an atmosphere brimming with warmth and good humour, the evening was a resounding success and one the team is already looking forward to repeating next year.
“ It was great to welcome familiar faces- and some new ones too,” added Helen.“ We hope to work with David and Matthew for many more years to come, celebrating their business and seeing guests return throughout the year after enjoying this superb event.”
