For Stephen Robinson, CEO and founder of Outrank, the festive period holds special significance. Not only were the advent calendars up when Outrank was founded, but it was also in the run-up to Christmas many years earlier that the catalyst for this all began.
Stephen says:“ It was an opportunity to help a local painter and decorator, a man looking to make a living to support his family after business had gone quiet.
“ A chance introduction in the run-up to Christmas, and the conversation came up. Being able to step in and launch a small digital marketing campaign quickly changed his situation. The calls picked up, jobs were in the diary and there was income on the books before Christmas. He’ s still working in that industry to this day.”
That immediate result reaffirmed the belief that digital success is measured in phone calls, bookings and orders, as much as in traffic charts and vanity metrics.
