Chauffeur firm with rich heritage puts emphasis on quality
A
drive to address a shortage of high-class chauffeurs has been launched by a Teesside premium chauffeur-hire company.
Thornaby-based Eagle Chauffeuring is described as“ a premium travel service that goes beyond transport to offer a full concierge experience.”
It revives the popular Eagle brand that, under Mohammed Malik, ran an extensive, 50-strong fleet of taxis under the Eagle Taxis banner for decades.
Now, through Eagle Chauffeuring, his son, Babar Malik, is focusing on the premium market, with six executive vehicles and a“ close-knit team of family and trusted drivers” to operate its extensive range of services.
And Babar, the firm’ s founder and MD, said seeing the way his father ran Eagle Taxis has inspired his commitment to quality.
He said:“ My dad built a reputation for quality and respect in the community.
“ I remember seeing his drivers in shirts and ties – it left an impression and gave customers a premium service that just isn’ t available anymore. That’ s what I wanted to bring back: not just the name, but the high standards.”
Babar, who has returned to his family’ s private hire roots after working offshore in the oil and gas industry, feels there’ s a real shortage of high-end cars and chauffeurs in the region – something he believes Eagle Chauffeuring can address.
He said:“ There’ s a real appetite in the North-East for travel that feels personal but delivers professionally.
“ We’ re helping people arrive in the right frame of mind – whether it’ s for a meeting, a wedding or a special occasion. We’ re more than just a driving service, we’ re bringing a slice of luxury travel and the personal touch that the region is missing.
“ We’ ve invested in the little details – from the quality of the vehicles to the way our drivers dress and interact with clients.
“ It’ s about creating a seamless experience that people remember for the right reasons.
“ The feedback from customers has been great and we’ re regularly booked up, so we’ re looking to expand quickly in the next few months with more cars and more drivers.”
Eagle Chauffeuring launched earlier this year with six high-end vehicles and a dedicated, highly professional team of trusted drivers.
Promising clients“ precision, prestige and peace of mind”, the new company offers a full concierge-style experience, catering for airport transfers, corporate travel and special occasions.
It plans to expand its fleet to 30 vehicles by 2026 and is currently recruiting both male and female drivers to meet growing demand.
As part of its wider expansion plans, it has even launched a female-focused executive chauffeur service across the North-East, aimed at helping more women enter the private hire industry by offering full training, licensing support and access to luxury vehicles.
Babar said the idea for the service was shaped by conversations with female clients who expressed a clear preference for women chauffeurs.
He said:“ Eagle’ s entire approach is about creating a service that takes care of customers and gives them the best experience possible.
“ Our male drivers wear suits and ties, and our female drivers will be just as smart, with business attire. Everything is about providing the best of the best – from our cars to the drivers.”
Committed to delivering an exceptional chauffeur experience defined by“ elegance, discretion and reliability”, Eagle covers all major railway stations, ferry terminals and airports, with four- to 16-seaters available for pre-booking.
Priding itself on a luxury service that’ s“ as refined as it is reliable”, its extensive range of other services includes corporate events, weddings, funerals and proms, with bespoke options for each.
And its concierge services go the extra mile in ensuring often-overlooked details are catered for, including coordinating arrival times, ensuring the right people are picked up when they need to be and checking in with venues to stay ahead of any late changes.
Businesses can easily set up accounts with Eagle, allowing them to benefit from its premium chauffeuring services and receive a clear invoice at the end of each month for any work carried out.
