TEES DIRECTOR PRAISES‘ BRILLIANT’ INNOVATION CENTRE

Hartlepool Cable Services, set up by Lee Douglas just three years ago, has already outgrown its office and unit at Hartlepool Innovation Centre and expanded into a new HQ in Billingham that provides nearly 10 times the space.
The company is working on a growing number of major projects across the UK as demand grows for its expertise in installing and jointing heavy-duty HV and LV cables.“ UKSE has been there for us from the beginning and not only with the office and workshop space we needed,” said Lee, who brought 30 years of experience in the sector to his own business.
“ A five-figure unsecured loan from UKSE helped us take on new members of the team and meet increased demand, especially from larger projects.

Contracts manager Ian Varley and health and safety adviser Chris Twizell are recent additions to the company’ s team, alongside Lee, his daughter Danni, who handles the administration, and a team of 55 sub-contractors.
The company works alongside major electrical engineering contractors on projects at data distribution centres, office blocks, hospitals and in the rail, construction and water treatment sectors.
