SABIC recognised with Communities and Reputation gong at NEPIC Awards
SABIC’ s extensive local community work has been officially recognised with the global chemical giant lifting the Communities and Reputation Awards at a prestigious regional event.
Karen Redfearn, SABIC’ s communications business partner, collected the ConocoPhillipssponsored award on behalf of the chemical company at the annual NEPIC Awards Dinner, which were organised by the North East of England Process Industry Cluster at Hardwick Hall.
SABIC won praise for the diverse range of corporate and social responsibility( CSR) activities the firm and its staff undertake annually in the Teesside and wider North-East region. The company has a defined CSR policy, working across four key areas of environmental protection, education, health and wellness, and community support.
Karen said:“ As an employer in the Teesside region, SABIC looks for opportunities to support the local community. The local SABIC team are engaged to support our local stakeholders.
“ I would like to extend my thanks to all the employees and contractor colleagues who give their time to support with STEM, charitable or environmental activities and have made this award possible.”
SABIC chose High Clarence Primary Academy- located near the company’ s North Tees Site- as the beneficiary of a £ 2,000 winners award to use for a STEM-based project of their choice.
