Organised by Tees Business , the VelociTees are being headline-sponsored for a third successive year by the Teesside office of leading national accountancy firm and business advisor Azets .
The VelociTees take place at Wynyard Hall on the lunchtime of Tuesday February 18 2025 .
Entries for both job creation and turnover increases are now being invited ahead of the December 17 deadline . The awards are open to businesses in Middlesbrough , Stockton , Redcar and Cleveland , Stokesley , Hartlepool and Darlington .
Andrew Rowe , managing partner at the Teesside office of Azets , said : “ One of the reasons Azets were keen to be involved with the VelociTees awards originally was that we thought that the booming businesses here on Teesside deserved to be celebrated .
“ The second annual awards were even better than the first in terms of both quantity and quality and we were blown away by the breadth of fast-growing businesses celebrated in both 2023 and 2024 .
“ We know it doesn ’ t always come naturally to Teessiders to shout about their achievements , but we hope this event will help to shine a light on more of the amazing companies we have in our region .” Winning a VelociTees award not only shows how far a business has come but is a positive acknowledgement of the teams that make it possible .
The 2024 VelociTees winners included Wilton Engineering Services , recruitment specialist Achieve Hospitality , steelerecting expert TekBuild , industrial and environmental services business Telcoss and Correll Electrical Engineering , highvoltage services provider to the offshore wind industry .
Entries for the 2025 awards will be considered by qualified accountants from Azets , who will act as judges .
