Something different – Tees Business admin apprentice Millie Smith presented Salvify directors Craig Rabbetts and Guy Brown with their trophy for Most Original New Business .
WINNER
SALVIFY
The winners of the Most Original Business title at the Best New Tees Business Awards are keeping it in the family – literally .
That ’ s because Craig Rabbetts and Guy Brown are not only business partners – they ’ re brothers-in-law !
Salvify is setting a new standard in healthcare by addressing the problem of outdated and inefficient medical inventory systems .
Its innovative SaaS platform focuses on the critical needs of medical providers , ensuring teams can track , manage and restock life-saving supplies with ease .
Launched at the start of 2024 , Salvify – with the tagline “ digital ointment for your medical inventory system ” – has already made a big impact , helping medical teams improve safety , compliance and overall efficiency .
And for Craig and Guy , the award win is another endorsement of a system that ’ s taking the medical stock provision world by storm .
Craig said : “ We allow medical providers to look after their stock , which is something that ’ s a constant battle .
“ Originally I came from an offshore medic background – Teesside has a massive offshore base – and I found that managing 250 medicines , all going out of date at some point , really hampered me in terms of time .
“ When I chatted with Guy , we realised the potential in this . But one thing we didn ’ t realise was how transferrable it was – now we ’ re in the position of being able to help guys here and in other countries , such as New Zealand .” Guy , whose background is in tech , added : “ Craig originally came to me with a different problem , which we were umming and aahing about . He said , ‘ I ’ ve got this as well ’ and I thought that had more legs . We just carried on talking about it and Salvify was the result .
“ It ’ s gone beyond our wildest dreams , really . Within a year we ’ ve designed the system , talked to professionals and even pivoted on who we ’ re going to market it to . We realised there ’ s a ‘ hair-on-fire ’ problem for some professionals – basically , the private ambulance event medical profession is going through a bit of turmoil with compliance and regulation issues , so our system will help the better ones to show compliance .
“ So within that time we ’ ve built a demo , built a version of it , got it out ‘ live ’ and onboarded eight customers now , globally .”
