Company boss ‘ over the moon ’ to celebrate 10th anniversary
The boss of a leading care recruitment agency says it was a proud moment to celebrate the firm ’ s 10th anniversary at a special celebration held at Wynyard Hall .
Teesside success story Moonrise 24hr Recruitment marked a decade in business with the bash in Wynyard ’ s beautiful conservatory , attended by employees , suppliers and friends of the company .
Moonrise was formed when its founders – Jessica and John Gwaringa – set up temporary office space in their second living area at home .
Fast forward 10 years and the agency has expanded into Scotland and Birmingham , purchased its own building at Falcon Court in Stockton – now its head office – and has won a major national contract with the NHS , establishing Moonrise as a key player in the healthcare sector .
Around 150 people gathered for a celebration at Wynyard to mark Moonrise ’ s milestone .

8 | Tees Business to quality care ,” said managing director Jessica , the Tees Valley ’ s BME Businessperson of the Year in 2023 .
“ We ’ re so happy to have reached this day . When we launched the business , we never knew we ’ d be where we are now , 10 years later .
“ There are a lot of things we ’ ve achieved . Where we ’ ve come from , where we ’ ve been and where we are now , it ’ s a big milestone and it means a lot to us .
“ We have lots of people behind us supporting the business , people who ’ ve supported us and stood by us from the beginning , so it ’ s amazing to see everyone in the one room celebrating with us .”
Moonrise 24hr Recruitment has spent the past decade delivering high-quality care , including supported living , children ’ s services and agency cover in both the public and private sectors .
Over the years , the firm has also branched out into healthcare training and secure patient transport services , enabling vulnerable patients up and down the country to be taken to appointments or events .

birthday with a “ Good ” rating from the Care Quality Commission ( CQC ).
Jessica previously told Tees Business : “ We believe our success comes from the way we ’ re committed to delivering highquality , bespoke training to our own staff to enhance their performance at work , whether they are our office workers or our carers .
“ We have young apprentices working within the business and we have also started offering further training to our care staff and other caring professionals throughout the community .
“ The last 10 years have involved a lot of hard work but it ’ s been very rewarding , as we have achieved such a lot in that time .”
With a successful decade of business in the bag for Moonrise , what does the future hold for the hugely successful business ?
“ A lot more growth ,” insists Jessica . “ We have lots of ideas to grow and we know we can achieve them .
“ We want to multiply what we ’ ve achieved again over the next 10 years . The ambition doesn ’ t stop here .”
