Experience – Aircon Group offered four students hands-on training as part of the Career Ready Programme .
Company ’ s commitment to social value is more than just hot air !
Social value now accounts for 10 per cent of the score when companies tender for public sector contracts – but Aircon Group doesn ’ t think it should just stop there .
“ We take great pride in engaging with local activities and supporting the communities we serve , particularly in raising the aspirations of young people and disadvantaged groups ,” says sales manager Erica Johnson .
Sales executive Ross Cousin is actively engaged in a wide range of community initiatives . He has attended a careers fair hosted by a local authority , spoke to schools about a day in the life of a heating , ventilation and air conditioning ( HVAC ) engineer , judged an electrical competition at Stockton Riverside College and volunteered at Bowesfield Primary School ’ s summer fair , where he manned the bouncy castle .

diving into his role and bringing generous raffle prizes ,” said the fair ’ s organiser Amal Project Teesside . “ His support made the event run smoothly and we deeply appreciate Aircon Group ’ s commitment to our community .”
Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough invited Aircon ’ s sales team to conduct a B2B sales workshop , focusing on the unique strategies and approaches that differentiate it from B2C sales .
“ A massive thank you for sharing your customer service expertise with our students ,” said one of the college ’ s business teachers . “ Your presentation
provided them with invaluable insights for their assignments .”
In July , as part of the Career Ready Programme , Aircon Group proudly hosted four students , offering them hands-on experience in blog writing , data management and sales communications .
The students proved to be invaluable assets , exemplifying the remarkable young talent in our region .
“ I wish I had done the placement at the start of the year ,” one of the students said afterwards . “ My business studies make so much more sense now .”
