Ellerman City Liners is a global shipping and freight solutions operator , moving cargo on deep-sea and short-sea routes between the UK , the US and Europe and providing door-to-door multimodal solutions for customers . Teesport welcomes weekly container vessel calls from Ellerman City Liner ’ s dedicated Spain , Portugal and Poland routes , with onward distribution across Teesside and beyond carried out by PD Ports ’ road haulage fleet .
In 2024 , between January and April , PD Ports moved 1,600 containers for Ellerman , many of which were collected as soon as they were cleared by customs and offloaded .
