Terry Walsh , Materials Processing Institute The Materials Processing Institute has appointed Terry Walsh as its new CEO after Chris McDonald ’ s decision to stand down , having been selected as Labour ’ s parliamentary candidate for Stockton North .
With more than three decades in the chemical and manufacturing industries , Terry brings experience in strategic leadership , commercial management and business development .
He was previously managing director at Ferro Duo GmbH , eco-products director at Venator Materials and held prominent roles at INEOS and ICI .
Chris will continue to act as a strategic advisor .
Joe Brolly , Savage Silk Savage Silk , which has offices in Stockton and Newcastle , has appointed Joe Brolly as senior associate in its commercial property department .
Joe has extensive experience in commercial property and specialises in secured lending , working with banks and institutions .
Originally from County Durham , Joe has spent his legal career with Newcastle law firms , starting as a paralegal then qualifying as a solicitor and progressing to associate status .
The commercial property team has grown from three to 11 people in three years .
Meanwhile , Julie Marley joins the firm as an employment law consultant . Julie was a partner and head of employment law at Endeavour Partnership before diversifying her practice to include external consultancy support .
Anne Cullum , The Headlight Project An award-winning Teesside charity that helps those impacted by suicide has appointed its first CEO .
Former primary school teacher Anne Cullum has joined the Headlight Project after almost a decade in senior leadership roles in education .
Launched by Catherine Devereux after the suicide of her husband , Russ , the Stockton-based Headlight Project provides counselling throughout the Tees Valley for those who have lost a loved one through suicide . It is also developing a preventative education and training programme to roll out to local workplaces , colleges and schools .
The charity works to help try to lower the North-East ’ s suicide rate , which remains the highest in England .
Faye Keohane and Perry Higgins , Intasite Stockton-based Intasite , a technology platform dedicated to streamlining safety and site access processes for highhazard industries , has hired a new project manager and video editor .
The business welcomed Perry Higgins and Faye Keohane after increasing its turnover and client base .
Perry , a video editor and 3D workflow specialist , joins the in-house film and production department .
Faye joins as a project manager and will oversee the management for onboarding new customers and global enterprise frameworks for international clients .
Sarah Farrow , Populus Select Populus Select , a global recruitment consultancy focused on senior life science , engineering and construction-related roles , has appointed STEM career specialist Sarah Farrow as a principal consultant .
