Tees Business celebrates raising £ 17,000 for good causes

The team behind Tees Business are hoping to emulate their fundraising achievements this year after topping the £ 17,000 mark for good causes in 2023 .

Resolution Media and Publishing raised a little over £ 17,000 for six charities last year .
It started when some of their team members took part in a CEO Sleepout at the Riverside Stadium , raising just under £ 3,000 .
Generous Tees businesses then helped to raise just over £ 5,600 for the North East Autism Society at the inaugural Tees Business Awards last April .
The fundraising was topped up when
£ 2,000 was raised for digital poverty charity FurbedIT , part of The Hope Foundation , at the 2023 Tees Tech Awards in June .
A further £ 2,500 was raised for the Power of Women campaign at the Tees Businesswomen Awards , while £ 2,000 was raised for the Red Sky Foundation at the inaugural Wear Businesswomen Awards , organised by Resolution .
Finally , the total funds were topped up further when £ 2,000 was raised for the Teesside Hospice at the Best New Tees Business Awards .
Resolution ’ s awards events also raised much-needed valuable publicity for the charities at evening functions attended by hundreds of business leaders .
Tees Business are also corporate partners of the Teesside Hospice as well as being members of the Teesside Charity ’ s Infant Hercules Club , and have also helped autism charity the Daisy Chain raise its profile in recent months . Director Dave Allan said : “ We ’ re proud to raised so much for good causes in 2023 and we ’ re aiming to do the same again in 2024 .
“ Local charities need as much help as they can get right now , but our events also afford them a valuable platform to let hundreds of people know more about them and the work they do .
“ We ’ re proud to be champions of businesses on Teesside as well as charities , and we ’ re looking forward to raising their profiles even further this year , while also raising them much-needed funds .”
Tees Business have so far committed to raising funds for at least five charities at their business awards events in 2024 , including CEO Sleepout , The Headlight Project , Teesside Hospice , The Power of Women campaign and County Durham Community Foundation .
