UK-wide - Like Us CEO Shak Asghar says the business support agency has already secured contracts beyond the Teesside area .
“ We ’ ve already secured a number of contracts that cover different geographic areas of the UK ,” says Like Us CEO Shak .
“ We are very excited to start getting underway with the contracts we have won , with some mobilised and some on the way !
“ We will be providing vital business support across the UK at a time in which we have both challenges and opportunities . We are super excited to be able to put our own flavour out there in the marketplace and believe we can deliver massive impact in the areas we ’ ll be working in .
“ It ’ s what we are all about . We like to do our talking on the pitch and let the results speak for themselves .
“ I think we have shown that in our other recent business ventures respectively , and I personally cannot wait to be able to offer businesses in the UK the dynamic kind of business support they have long deserved .
“ We will be offering a range of different support mechanisms and tools , from providing one-to-one support to offering training and workshop initiatives , where like-minded businesses can make progress together .
“ We want to deliver business support on a size and scale that has never been done before .”
Speaking of the new post-Brexit funding regime for the UK , Shak added he believed it would enable businesses to access support in a more flexible
way than has previously been possible under the outgoing funding regime typically employed for such initiatives .
The new UK Shared Prosperity Fund , which is funded by UK government as part of their wider levelling up agenda , will enable Like Us to provide support to “ people who were previously excluded from accessing support ” by the European funding regime , as well as offering support to businesses previously unengaged by the system for various reasons , by employing its unique and high-impact engagement methodologies
“ The new regime will ensure that support will be available to previously excluded and under-serviced sectors ,” says Shak . “ We want to work with businesses of all sizes , where possible and relevant .
“ We are also going to work with all communities of entrepreneurs and ensure nobody is left on the sidelines . This is a pillar of our ethos – we fully advocate and endorse ‘ inclusive business ’.
“ We want to help businesses in all their different forms , shapes and sizes , from people who are running side hustles who want to move forward and grow their businesses right up to larger organisations with specific niche needs and challenges .
“ We would now urge people , no matter where they are based , to register their interest with us , so we can start lining things up for them and fit them into the right schemes and opportunities for their needs .
“ This way they can hit the ground running and be first in line to access these mega-exciting new business support tools the UK has to offer them .
“ Once they have engaged with us , we will be able to validate what their needs are and ensure they get an opportunity to access the relevant required support .
“ Authorities across the country are investing heavily in their own infrastructure and also in helping businesses to build capacity and equip themselves with the right ingredients .”
Shak adds : “ By embracing these new support tools , businesses within the UK will be able to start to grow faster and become even more successful as a result , so it ’ s easy to see why authorities and the UK government would want to heavily invest in supporting businesses to do just that .
“ Ultimately , a growing healthy economy means a stronger and brighter future for the whole of the UK .”
