How Darlington Station could look

Region ’ s stations on track for major transformation

New images of Darlington Station are highlighting how we ’ re driving forward regeneration at our major hubs for businesses and individuals .
Improvements at Darlington , Middlesbrough and Hartlepool will help to improve connectivity locally and nationally , while opening up capacity for future services .
The latest pictures from Darlington ’ s £ 150million overhaul show a stateof-the-art entrance hall and new walkway route on its East side , as well as improvements to the iconic Victorian station building . These come as the first metal from British steel is being constructed with help of supply chain partners Hambleton Steel Ltd .
At the £ 35million Middlesbrough project , more British steel has been lifted in to breathe new life in the undercroft – with Middlesbroughbased CB Construction ( Cleveland ) Ltd overseeing its fabrication .
And at Hartlepool – the region ’ s third largest station – work is continuing to bring the disused second platform back into operation .
Soon it will be easier and smoother than ever to get to , from , and around Tees Valley – helping attract new businesses and supporting our existing firms to forge new connections and grow .
