CHARITY
Your hospice needs YOU !
Community lifeline appeals for support from businesses ...
Expenditure – It costs £ 5,600 a day to keep the doors of Teesside Hospice open .
Teesside Hospice is a much loved and respected charity that was founded by and continues to help local people and families who ’ ve been affected by a terminal illness .
We are proud of our clinical team , counsellors , staff , volunteers and fundraisers who , along with the families and friends of our patients , join together to ensure that everyone gets to live well until the very end .
Already supported by so many kind individuals and businesses in the Tees region and beyond , without your largesse the vital work we do couldn ’ t continue .
Because we have such a great reputation , it may be easy to think we are doing OK . However , unlike hospitals and other healthcare organisations that are often fully funded by the government , we ’ re only 29 per cent funded .
It costs a staggering £ 5,600 a day to keep our doors open , and with our charitable expenditure estimated at £ 3.4m (£ 2m of which is for our inpatient unit ), we ’ re currently facing a £ 405,000 fundraising deficit .
If we don ’ t make this deficit up this year , we ’ ll have to use our financial reserves , which isn ’ t sustainable for our future .
We understand that times are really tough , and the cost-of-living crisis is affecting everyone , but we are asking for your new or continued assistance .
No matter how large or small , your support will help Teessiders to live as well as possible , for as long as possible .
