The globally successful heavy lifting and transportation specialist has made significant investment in new equipment that will directly benefit its North-East customers .
The fruit of that investment is several state-of-the art new cranes that will be deployed to clients from Mammoet UK ’ s rapidly expanding headquarters on Teesside for use in several exciting projects .
Explaining the thinking behind the latest expansion plan , Mammoet UK sales director Darren Watson said : “ We ’ ve expanded our fleet in response to our clients ’ needs in the North-East and the nature of the projects that are on the horizon on Teesside .
“ For a number of years , we ’ ve been looking at expanding our current fleet to provide a more comprehensive service to our valued clients . We ’ re always looking to innovate , be more flexible and focus on clients ’ requirements .
“ There are some exciting projects on Teesside and we feel the cranes we have brought into our fleet offer our current key clients and our projected future clients a really interesting proposition .”
There ’ s no doubt Teesside is the place to be when it comes to ambitious , large-scale projects and Mammoet is committed to understanding its customers ’ requirements and therefore constantly invests in cutting-edge equipment in response to those challenges .
Mammoet has increased its UK fleet with numerous crawler and mobile cranes , in addition to a self-erecting tower crane that is specially designed to work in confined locations such as town and city centre streets , as well as congested industrial sites .
Being able to offer second-to-none maintenance and support facilities from its Teesside HQ has also been critical in meeting clients ’ needs .
Daniel Flavell , Mammoet ’ s manager of lifting services , said : “ We can react quickly to the marketplace , we can react quickly to our customers ’ requirements , and we can react quickly to any given scenario .
“ We have recently secured a long-term contract in the renewables sector where we will be transporting and lifting wind turbine components here in the North- East . One of the main attractions and differentiating factors for our customers is our local support network , with a large proportion of staff based here in Teesside .
