On behalf of Azets , I am proud to welcome you to the Spring 2023 edition of Tees Business . spring always fills me with positivity and optimism , and despite the many continuing challenges and uncertainties businesses are battling with , there are reasons to be optimistic for our area .
There is a lot going on in Teesside , with construction underway at Teesworks for SeAH Wind ’ s manufacturing facility and approval for the Willis Aviation aircraft maintenance facility at Teesside Airport .
Combined with investment in infrastructure and cleaner industry , education providers are developing the skills needed to continue growth across Teesside , so I am optimistic about our region ’ s future success .
Let us also acknowledge the Boro ’ s impressive promotion push under manager Michael Carrick , which will hopefully be something to celebrate !
Here at Azets , we are delivering on our ambitious growth plans . We ’ re excited to welcome our new offices in Ireland , offering support for our local businesses to grow into the
Irish market and beyond . We have introduced immigration services and advice to businesses , while we are looking forward to welcoming a significant number of apprentices into the business during 2023 to support our future growth .
Positivity is exactly what we felt in sponsoring the inaugural VelociTees awards , which highlighted some of the fantastic local businesses on Teesside that are achieving significant growth in turnover and / or headcount despite testing times .
The range of businesses shortlisted demonstrates our vastly diverse business community . My thanks go to all those who supported the event – and congratulations to the winners and those who were shortlisted .
