Michael Hoggart , TMD Friction Automotive manufacturer TMD Friction has announced the appointment of Michael Hoggart as its UK plant manager .
Michael was previously operations manager at Gestamp in Newton Aycliffe and with more than 32 years working for the company , he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role .
TMD Friction – based at Oakesway Trading Estate in Hartlepool – can produce 95 per cent of the European vehicle park range for the independent aftermarket and currently manufactures more than 400,000 parts per week .
The firm employs 485 people at its Hartlepool factory .

Patrick Jordan , Bede Sixth Form College From a bright career in music production to being the guitarist in former North-East indie band Young Rebel Set , it ’ s fair to say Patrick Jordan has a few strings to his bow .
Now he is hoping to hit all the right notes after being appointed principal of Bede Sixth Form in Billingham .
Taking the helm of the college where he was once a student himself , the 41-yearold said : “ I do feel really proud .”
The college on Marsh House Avenue is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary and undergoing a massive £ 2.4m development to make room for a further 200 students .
Erimus Insurance Brokers A Teesside insurance broker is starting the new year on a high after appointing new team members .
Stockton-based Erimus Insurance Brokers recently took on five new members of staff , including two apprentices , as it prepares for a change of name following an acquisition .
Of the five new starters , three are stepping into totally new roles – Rhianna McHale and Ibby Matloob are joining as apprentice insurance brokers , while Ed Emerson is stepping into the newlycreated post of development executive .
Meanwhile , Hannah Gardner and Harry Wood are replacing account brokers who have recently retired , bringing a wealth of experience with them .

Mike Kirsopp , Andrew Telfer and Ian Henderson , GB Bank Specialist bank GB Bank has appointed a new chair and recruited two new board members as it continues to drive forward its ambitious growth plans .
The Middlesbrough-based bank has appointed SME lending expert Mike Kirsopp as chair , with property and banking industry figures Andrew Telfer and Ian Henderson joining as non-executive director and investor director respectively .
Mike has more than 40 years of experience in SME lending . He was CEO at Cambridge & Counties Bank from 2014 to 2021 , where he was part of the team recruited to mobilise the bank and gain its full banking licence . He previously ran his own consultancy business and had a long career at Lloyds TSB .
Mike joined GB Bank as a non-executive director in July 2021 and has been acting as interim chair since November 2022 .
Rachel Tallentire and Alison Golsworthy- Miller , Orangebox Training Solutions Two vastly experienced professionals have joined a training firm ’ s senior management team to power the Hartlepool-based provider into the next phase of its growth plans across the country .
New roles have been created for Rachel Tallentire to become the director of continuous improvement and for Alison Golsworthy-Miller to be its new client relationship and implementation manager .
The appointments come at a time when Teesside ’ s Orangebox has opened
