Sembcorp Energy UK expands workforce to support transformative future

Sembcorp Energy UK ( SEUK ) is focused on being a leading provider of sustainable solutions supporting the UK ’ s transition to Net Zero .

People are essential to enabling the transition to a low carbon future , and the company is expanding its workforce to help achieve its goals .
Headquartered at the Wilton International site on Teesside , SEUK has partnered with Imperial Recruitment Group to increase its workforce as it focuses on its growing business .
Since April 2022 , more than 100 vacancies have been filled and , in September , SEUK broke its own records by inducting 20 new hires in one day – the largest single day intake in the company ’ s history . This included 12 apprentices and two positions outside of Wilton International at flexible energy generation sites in England ’ s North-West and North-East regions .

Anthony Antoniou , of Imperial Recruitment Group , said the agency has secured recruitment in multiple areas , including engineering , finance , operations , commercial , IT and procurement .
Imperial is recruiting nationwide as , outside Teesside , SEUK has more than 40 flexible energy generation sites across England and Wales .
In total , Sembcorp has a UK energy portfolio of more than 1.3GW in operation and under development , including fast-acting power stations and Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS ) sites delivering electricity to the national grid and helping to balance the UK energy system .
“ Our work with SEUK has been focused on attracting candidates , also on building a strong pipeline for future projects ,” said Anthony .
