The entries are in – and soon the judges will have the unenviable task of shortlisting for the second annual Best New Tees Business Awards .
The 2022 awards will again be held in Kirkleatham Walled Garden ’ s marquee near Redcar , on Thursday , November 10 , in association with headline sponsors PD Ports , after the successful launch of the event in 2021 .
As well as PD Ports , category sponsors for this year ’ s event includes Teesside University , Tees Valley Combined Authority , Redcar | Cleveland Ambassadors , Enterprise Made Simple , Racz Group , The Education Training Collective ( Etc .), Cornerstone Business Solutions , Jacksons Law Firm , Vistech Services and Additional Lengths .

Tees Valley Combined Authority
Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen says the Best New Tees Business Awards will be a celebration of “ innovators and risk-takers ”, with Tees Valley Combined Authority sponsoring a new category for Standout Achievement .
TVCA is sponsoring the new Standout Achievement category , which is open to start-up businesses or an individual within a start-up business .
Mr Houchen said : “ Our small and medium-sized enterprises are the lifeblood of our local economy . It ’ s our founders , innovators and risk takers who are constantly pioneering new ideas and creating long-term , quality jobs for local people across Teesside , Darlington and Hartlepool .

The Education Training Collective ( Etc .) is sponsoring the Most Original Business category .
Etc . is the umbrella brand for the group that incorporates Stockton Riverside College , Redcar and Cleveland College , NETA Training , Bede Sixth Form College , The Skills Academy and the Tees Valley Logistics Academy .
