Olivia , 20 , from Hartlepool , is set to start her apprenticeship with global aviation firm Willis Lease Finance Corporation ( WLFC ) as an apprentice aircraft mechanic , having completed her Level 3 aeronautical engineering qualification with Hartlepool College of Further Education .
This comes just weeks after WLFC announced plans for substantial investment in Teesside Airport of up to £ 25m .
WLFC has been based at Teesside since 2020 and could bring 200 well-paid jobs to the region .
Lesley Hawke , Dawn Musgrave and Abigail Bell , NEPIC One of the UK ’ s largest member organisations has made three new appointments to strengthen its team .
The North East Process Industry Cluster ( NEPIC ), which represents more than 300 companies , has welcomed Abigail Bell as innovation executive , Lesley Hawke as membership account manager and Dawn Musgrave as project manager for Supply Chain North East .

Ben Robinson , Middlesbrough College Group Middlesbrough College Group has appointed Ben Robinson as both deputy principal and deputy CEO ahead of the new academic year .
Former principal at Bede Sixth Form College in Billingham , Ben will be responsible for heading up the college ’ s curriculum , as well as supporting “ an extremely exciting period of continued evolution ”.
The role will also see Ben oversee the progression of the college ’ s learners , ensure outstanding practice in classrooms and feed into the progressive culture across the whole group , which comprises the core further education college , the technical skills training provider TTE and the apprenticeship training specialist Northern Skills .
Phillipa Symington , Clive Owen LLP An accountancy group has appointed a senior new partner .
Phillipa Symington joins Clive Owen – which has offices in Darlington , Durham , York and Middlesbrough – from KPMG in Leeds .
She was born in Bristol but emigrated to South Africa with her parents at an early age . Phillipa trained at Grant Thornton in South Africa , returning to the UK in late 2018 .
As a partner in the audit team , Phillipa will work with a broad client base , providing audit and technical compliance services .
