Creating a legacy

Teesside recruitment specialist Paisley Site Services announces New Year expansion plans

Putting the right person into the right vacancy is something Michaela Galbraith takes great pride in . And after a thoroughly rewarding couple of years as managing director of her own company , Paisley Site Services , she wants to continue to fill vacancies with enthusiastic , talented and committed Teessiders .

The future certainly looks bright for Michaela ’ s rapidly growing firm , but she ’ s refusing to rest on her laurels .
As 2022 moves ever closer , recruitment specialists Paisley has ambitious expansion plans . Michaela has a strong desire to change perceptions of how the labour market is viewed on Teesside and wants her company to be known as the “ go to ” agency within the industry .
“ We are proud to be based in Teesside and hugely passionate about creating opportunities for local people and providing an exceptional service to our clients ,” says Michaela , who named her business after her daughter , Paisley .
“ Teesside is where we are from , it ’ s where our families live and where our children go to school . We aim to support local businesses and play our part in helping the economy grow .
“ Our committed , professional approach has allowed us to work closely with many of the UK ’ s leading organisations and is the foundation of our business .
“ The partnerships we have built have enabled us to provide a unique service to many of our clients throughout the country , offering flexible staffing solutions .
“ We ’ re now looking to grow the business and we ’ re planning to bring in new senior consultants in the New Year . I have huge growth plans for Paisley Site Services and would like to contribute to creating sustainable employment across the Teesside area .”
Paisley Site Services offer a range of support to clients but a key specialism is supplying trades personnel to engineering , construction and renewable energy companies .
The business started life in Michaela ’ s own home . But thanks to her successful business strategy and tireless work ethic , she soon outgrew her surroundings and had to establish new headquarters on Skippers Lane , Middlesbrough , and recruit her own dedicated team .
“ I believe Teesside is underestimated and I am passionate about creating legacies for our children and their children .”
Having built up a strong client base , Michaela is now turning her attention to further expanding her team to support her ambitious plans .
“ I initially expected to run my business from home but it grew so quickly !” she admits . “ Now , we not only look after North-East companies but also firms outside the area . We now supply clients in London , Birmingham and Manchester , for example .”
“ There ’ s a lot going on in Teesside ,”
she adds . “ We ’ re from Teesside and we want to continue to put people into work here and encourage clients from within our area to use us rather than companies that are based in London , Manchester or Newcastle .”
Making Teesside a better place to live and work is a quest Michaela passionately believes in .
She said : “ I was raised on a council estate and grew up watching my father work around the clock as a plater to keep our family afloat and make sure we all had what we needed .
“ When I was young , we would go for days out with my family . When my father drove past the steelworks he would slow down and show us where he ’ d been working . He was so proud and I was too .
“ It saddens me that the work he has put in over the years will not be seen or recognised by our children . I can ’ t show my daughter where her grandad worked most of his life because most of the sites are no longer there , which is really sad and something I want to change .
“ I believe Teesside is underestimated and I am passionate about creating legacies for our children and their children .
“ Paisley has provided me with the inspiration and drive to create a better future for the next generation , and our vision is to create a lasting legacy for them .”
