After 21 successful years , Katmex reveals its brand new identity
here ’ s no doubt successfully trading for 21 years is something worth celebrating .
And for Katmex , it ’ s also the ideal time to unveil an exciting new identity as it looks ahead to the next 21 years .
The North-East-based manufacturer and supplier of high-quality steel parts and precision fabrications has sites in Stockton and Seaham and a well-deserved reputation for excellence in its field . But it ’ s also a firm that refuses to rest on its laurels .
Managing director David Mitchell explains : “ Like a lot of organisations over the past year , we ’ ve considered our strategy for the future and one of the things to come out of that is the potential of diversifying into new markets .
“ We wanted to refresh ourselves . Our existing brand had been in place pretty much from day one and we wanted to look at branding that reflected where we are now and what we can offer as a business .
“ It comes on the back of our 21st year of trading , our 21st birthday . Like most companies over the past couple of years , we ’ ve gone through difficult times and we ’ re now coming out of that .
“ We wanted to be stronger coming out of the pandemic , and with that our aim was to support our existing customers while also looking at the potential of supporting new markets .”
The first wave of the Covid pandemic was clearly challenging for all businesses . Katmex , which would have celebrated its 20th year of trading last year , had it not been for the pandemic , used the time to assess where the business was heading and what the future held in store .
The ever-changing economic climate brings new challenges , particularly with regards to the environment , and that ’ s something Katmex is ready to face head on .
And it will do that with a bright British logo and a new set of values .
The new branding embraces not only the red , white and blue colouring of the Union Jack , but a design element inspired by the famous and much-loved flag of Great Britain .
