Rosey joins as Power of Women campaign gathers pace
The Power of Women campaign has further strengthened its team with the appointment of a permanent engagement manager following the recent recruitment of four new directors .
The campaign was created to raise the aspirations and ambitions of girls and young women across the Tees region and beyond .
Its launch was led by the late Professor Jane Turner OBE , former pro vicechancellor for enterprise and business engagement at Teesside University .
Rosey Stuart has been appointed as the Power of Women ’ s engagement manager to focus initially on primary schools engagement , strategy development , events and fundraising .
A full 2022 strategy will also be announced in January when a more detailed plan will be set out .
“ I am utterly delighted to have been given the opportunity to head up the operational side of The Power of Women Campaign ,” said Rosey , who previously led The Girls ’ Network in the region and was a finalist in the Inspiring Others category at the 2021 Tees Businesswomen Awards .
“ Jane Turner is one of the most intelligent , thoughtful and cool people I ’ ve ever met . She knew what our region needed – she told us as a board , so it ’ s our job to make her vision a reality , and we will .
“ I am incredibly lucky to work with a diverse and committed board who keep me right and give me the occasional shove . We can do this !”
Power of Women director Jane Armitage said she was “ delighted ” with
Rosalind ’ s appointment . She said : “ Having an engagement manager of her experience is going to be invaluable to PoW and will enable the campaign to progress its work and ambitions to raise aspirations for young girls in Teesside at a much quicker pace and in more depth . We are also grateful for the donations of funds that has made this possible .”

Jane , of Stockton-based Jacksons Law Firm , is one of four new volunteer directors . Others include her successor as Tees Businesswoman of the Year , Chloë Clover , of Middlesbrough ’ s Wander Films .
Joining them on the board of the Power of Women community interest company are Yasmin Khan of Teesside charity Halo Project and Gina Buckle of Northern Power Women .
They join board members Caroline Theobald CBE , Katrina Morley of Tees Valley Education , Chris March of the Allies Group and Dave Allan of Resolution Media and Publishing .
