TEES Business appointments

Apprentices , Stockton Council ICT technicians , cooks and care workers are among the dozens of apprentices who have taken up a range of posts in Stockton .
Stockton Council has hired 34 apprentices in total after advertising a range of roles .
All the new starters were welcomed with a special event attended by the council ’ s leader , councillor Bob Cook , and managing director , Julie Danks .
Cllr Cook said : “ I was delighted to welcome the 34 new starters on board and I ’ m looking forward to hearing about their progress .
“ Many of our apprentices hired in the past have gone on to secure permanent roles with the council .”
Shaun Wilson , Rob Nicholson and Leanne Jones , TMD Friction Three new appointments have been made to form a new dedicated environment , health and safety team at a Hartlepool engineering firm .
The team at TMD Friction is spearheaded by manager Shaun Wilson , who joins the global automotive manufacturer from Caterpillar in Peterlee .
He was brought in to drive forward TMD Friction ’ s commitment to creating a safe and healthy environment for staff and to reduce the number of accidents on site that lead to lost time on the production line .
Shaun was given the opportunity to cherry-pick his own support , which led to the appointments of Rob Nicholson from Caterpillar and Leanne Jones , who previously worked at KP Snacks .
The team will also support TMD Friction ’ s sites across the UK .
University graduate when she spent several months as a legal secretary within the family law department .
She returned in 2018 and rose through the ranks to become a senior associate solicitor , before becoming the fifth within the award-winning family department to join the firm ’ s partners .
Leanne – a member of the Law Society Children Panel – supports clients in both private and public law matters surrounding children and child arrangements .
Sue Stockdale , Bannatyne Group A former receptionist at the Bannatyne Group ’ s Ingleby Barwick health club and spa has been named North-East regional manager .
Sue Stockdale joined the company in November 1997 . She has worked in most of the region ’ s health clubs , progressing to reception manager , assistant general manager and general manager .
Now based back at Ingleby Barwick , she will oversee the five North-East health clubs – Chester-le-Street , Darlington , Durham , Ingleby Barwick and Coulby Newham .
Her portfolio also includes the Carlisle health club and Bannatyne hotels in Darlington and Durham .
Rebekah Thorpe , Active Chartered Financial Planners Active Chartered Financial Planners has welcomed an experienced client support manager as part of its ongoing growth and development programme .
Rebekah Thorpe joins the firm after three years at Darlington Building Society .
Rebekah will support the firm ’ s chartered financial planners and advisers and will also be responsible for building strong relationships with clients .
Leanne Fryer , Tilly Bailey & Irvine High-flying lawyer Leanne Fryer has risen through the ranks of a Tees firm to become a partner .

Rachel Kelly , Joseph Bartliff and Elysse Middleton , Davies Tracey A well-known Tees accountancy practice recently expanded its team by recruiting three apprentice trainees .
Stockton-based Davies Tracey offered three positions to trainees Rachel Kelly and Joseph Bartliff , who are already settling in at the practice ’ s office , with third recruit Elysse Middleton to follow .
As a full-service accountancy practice , Davies Tracey will help the recruits develop skills across all departments including payroll , bookkeeping , auditing and accounts while supporting them in gaining accountancy technician qualifications .
Ellie-May Jones , Beyond Housing An apprentice painter and decorator at Beyond Housing has secured a full-time role .
Ellie-May Jones began her level-two apprenticeship aged 17 in September 2018 .
Now 20 , Ellie-May has completed her placement and is one of two female painting and decorating apprentices to have passed her level-three qualification .
She has secured employment with the
