ward-winning health and safety software company Intasite has seen a surge of interest in its services since being named Best Small Business at the Tees Tech Awards .
Stockton-based Intasite creates and facilitates site-induction and contractor management software for high hazard industries . The team supports largescale sites operating within the chemical , construction , renewables , manufacturing , and ports and shipping sectors , among others .
Intasite was a joint winner in the collaboration category at the inaugural Tees Tech Awards and this , coupled with the most recent success , has significantly raised the profile of the company .
The upturn has demonstrated the value of awards recognition and has even surprised the leadership team .
Director Danielle Croce said : “ At one time I was perhaps a bit sceptical of the benefits that may come from entering awards but , over time , I began to see the networking connections and mutual opportunities that could be created .
“ It ’ s a wonderful thing to be recognised by your peers but to actually see your business gain interest on the back of a win really confirms the value of winning the award .
“ We have been contacted by numerous businesses who want us to help them after they had heard about our success . Not only that , it gives reassurance to our existing clients that they are working with a business which is professional and has longevity .”
Since the awards , Intasite has started working on multiple projects with organisations involved with renewable energy – an industry which is becoming more prominent in the North-East and providing more opportunities across the supply chain .
To aid this growth , Intasite has recruited new staff to its development team and extended its office space within LevelQ .
Technical director Andy Murphy hopes the recent traction will also help with recruitment . He said : “ The competition for good developers is cut-throat at the moment . If any potential candidate is attracted our way due to hearing about our success then that can only be a good thing .”
Business has been challenging for everyone since the pandemic first struck , so the Intasite team feel particularly fortunate to be in a position of growth .
Danielle added : “ The award win definitely highlighted our capabilities to some blue chip organisations . If they were considering using our services , it

seems the award may have convinced a number of them to enquire .
“ I think any SME thinking of putting themselves forward for the Tech Awards , Businesswomen Awards or Best New Business Awards should absolutely go for it .
“ Take your time to produce a quality entry , highlighting all of the great things you do as a business . This can often be more than you think once you give it some thought !
“ Even making a shortlist can give great exposure and might result in you making that one business connection that makes all the difference .”
The Intasite team were present at the Tees Tech Awards evening itself , held in the Coleman Suite at Hardwick Hall , and thoroughly enjoyed the whole event .
“ After a difficult couple of years , to have the Teesside tech community come together celebrating each other ’ s achievements was absolutely wonderful ,” added Danielle .
“ It makes you realise the standard of company we have in the area and it really inspires you to push on . Well done to all the winners and to those who were shortlisted .”
