Mr Wentworth , who took on his new role in July , having been a partner with the firm since 1994 , believes these are exciting times for manufacturing businesses to launch in .
“ The big picture is really encouraging . The freeport , the government ’ s Treasury office , things like that , they really put this region in the spotlight and will hopefully lead to a lot of economic regeneration .
“ We ’ ve also got the huge asset on our doorstep of the old SSI site , which seems to be starting to generate a lot of momentum .
“ I ’ ve lived here all my life and have worked here for 33 years but , hand on heart , I don ’ t think I ’ ve ever been as optimistic about this area ’ s prospects .”
