Live stream training around the globe and creating new and exciting digital content will be the focus of a new partnership between Enterprise Made Simple ( EMS ) and James Ibbitson .
James has sold his business , Visual Punch , and formed a partnership with Phil Teasdale and the team at EMS after working as the preferred videographer with the training specialist for about five years .
The partnership has led to the creation of a new brand under the EMS umbrella , EMS : Film , which will be led by James , with new staff expected to be taken on in the coming months .
It will see EMS training sessions taken to a global audience and the training specialist trying out new creative production techniques to help make its content , including courses for its membership group EMS University , even more engaging .
Phil Teasdale , EMS ’ CEO , said : “ We have worked with James for the last four or five years .
“ He is brilliant at getting the best out of us because we have built up that trust between us all .
“ James and I were talking about the fact that we are now creating so much more digital and film content than ever before and came up with this idea of a partnership .”
James , who admits it will be a blessing to have support with the management side of business so he can focus on the creative side , says he is “ really excited ” about the new partnership , after almost nine years running his own business .
After starting Visual Punch because he was tired of being overlooked for jobs due to lack of experience , he has gone on to work with large companies such as General Electric and SMEs like EMS and Doddington Dairies .
“ It ’ s strange forming this new partnership because I ’ ve actually known Phil for the past five years ,” said James . “ He ’ s been my unofficial business mentor , while he comes to me for advice on filming .
“ We eventually just thought , ‘ why aren ’ t we just doing this together and taking this forward ?’”
James ’ motivation is that he wants people to see his new content for EMS and say “ that ’ s amazing ”.
And he believes being given creative free rein by Phil and the team will allow him to do that .
“ I like creating content and this opportunity will allow me to focus on not just being a good videographer , but being the best I can be ,” James said .
Phil added : “ We ’ ll do the management stuff together , but we have got James ’ creative vision to do the rest .
“ From a production point of view , it just raises the game on what we are producing .
“ One of the things we ’ re really excited about is that we are going to be live streaming – effectively , we are creating our own TV studio .”
Phil adds that having James on board will also enable EMS to support clients with their content creation for websites and social media .
But first , EMS , which also recently took a studio office in Consett , has “ huge plans ” for its own video content .
“ Having James on board gives us the opportunity to trial new ways of producing our content , such as using green screens ,” Phil says .
“ We ’ re looking forward to trying out different ways James can help us produce our content and get it out to people .
“ James will also help us with the development of our Tik Tok and quite a lot of our other social media too .”
Phil says one thing he ’ s really excited about is being able to live stream exclusive content to people all over the world from EMS ’ Riverside Park training centre in Middlesbrough .
And James adds that with the plans Phil has got for him , his feet “ will not touch the ground ”.
“ It ’ s super exciting - and a little bit scary – but that is a good place to be ,” he says .
